Set in the northwest quadrant of Calgary lies the small residential community of Point McKay. Public school students of Point McKay attend local Terrace Road elementary school as well as the nearby Queen Elizabeth junior high and senior high. Catholic school students are assigned to attend the neighbouring Our Lady of the Assumption elementary and junior high before completing senior high at St. Mary’s or St. Francis’ depending on where they are located in Point McKay.

The Bow River and Edworthy Park allows residents of all ages to enjoy some of the finest green space that Calgary has to offer. The University of Calgary is only a neighborhood away though Point McKay accommodates more permanent residents than students. The downtown area is easily accessible via Bowness Road. The neighborhood doesn’t see very much growth in population due to the attractive amenities available in Point McKay.

Calgary Transit has a half dozen stops located along Bowness Road to ensure that residents have the opportunity to visit other parts of the city easily.
